More info on the Teen Intern Program

2018 Teen Intern Program
The Hopkinton Town Library is looking for students (entering 6th grade and up) to apply for internships for the Summer Reading Program. The program runs from July 3th-August 9th this summer. There will be a mandatory orientation meeting of all interns on Saturday, June 23rd at 5:30 PM. A commitment of at least 5 days is required. This experience will count as community service. We will provide you with a letter of recommendation upon request, after successful completion of the program. Interns will be selected based on experience (first choice to returning interns) and availability.
We’ll need interns during the following time slots: Tuesdays from 9:30 AM-12 PM, Thursdays from 9:30 AM-12 PM, and Fridays from 9:30-11:30 AM (only the Fridays in July).
Interested? Please fill out the following form and drop it off with Leigh Maynard at the Hopkinton Town Library during the week of April 22nd between the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM. (Tues, the 24th between 12 and 7 PM (school vacation week) If you are unable to stop by during these times, please call 746-3663 or email to arrange a time. Plan on spending a few minutes discussing your application at that time.
Teen interns are responsible for the following:
Showing up on scheduled days.
Arriving on time.
Contacting the library if unable to be here.
Assisting with program set up.
Assisting participants (ages range from 0-10, depending on program) during program.
Listening to children book share. (optional)
Assisting with clean up.
Completing tasks for program, such as cutting and gluing.
